We measure progress against the official CEFR scale — but we sell what people can do, not a number. No one has to pick a level; the assessment finds where each person starts, and we build toward what they need.
≈ NT2 Staatsexamen II — the Netherlands' highest state language exam, and the standard for university and most professional roles. (CNaVT is the equivalent in Belgium.)
Beyond B2: near-native (C1) coaching, private 1:1, on request — benchmarked to CEFR C1. There's no Dutch state exam above B2, so this is bespoke coaching toward proficiency, not a certificate.
How long each step takes — each level is a set of 10-session blocks, about a month per block with two lessons a week. Private 1:1 can go faster.
You only do the steps each person needs. A complete beginner reaches working Dutch (B1) in about a year.
Typical ranges — pace depends on starting point, attendance and practice. We commit to the structure, not a level by a fixed date.
In-person schools tie you to one city and one start date. Apps don't get anyone speaking. We're the standing Dutch partner you can use for every placement — and our small live groups mean everyone actually speaks, every lesson.
Just 5–8 learners, so everyone speaks every session — or private 1:1 for speed.
Formally trained language educators — NT2-qualified or in training for it — who benchmark progress against the official Dutch (CEFR) standard, not guesswork.
Same quality in any city — Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Brussels or anywhere. No travel, no location limits, start within weeks.
Two simple ways to learn. After a free assessment, we send a clear written quote — no surprises.
Small live groups — the most cost-effective way to reach a level. Priced per block, per person.
One-to-one, any level, flexible schedule — the fastest route. Priced by the hour.
Priced per person, by the level blocks each learner needs. Better rates for higher volume and longer commitments. Pay as you go — no long contracts.
"Good small language school offering private and group Dutch lessons for beginners but also more advanced levels. Offering online lessons. Had a good experience and enjoyable lessons with Lorenzo!"
